Daria Semikina – Composer

My name is Daria Semikina, I am a composer working in classical, contemporary and media music.

I specialize in writing for orchestra and various acoustic instruments and ensembles.

My style is influenced by various musical experiences, from my background in classical performance to exploration of various musical traditions around the world and my work as a performer of contemporary music.

As a media composer I am inspired by music from animation films by Studio Ghibli and music from videogames such as “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, “Ori and the Blind Forest”, “Ori and the Will of the Wisps” and “Hollow Knight”.
